Vermont's House of Representives invited members of the Randall Lineback Breed Association to the House chamber to be recognized. A Draft Resolution was read by the Speaker of the House and a presentation was made by Rep. Janice Peaslee. George Randall drove all the way from Michigan to join us and to be a part of the ceremony which honored his family and their breed of cows. We were also joined by Joan and Al Desorda from South Hero, Vermont. We were pleased to be congratulated by Lt. Governor Brian Dubie and Governor James Douglas personally. I was personally excited to be joined by my wife Chantel and our newborn son Donovan.

Daisy has Easter heifer calf

Daisy, Vermont's Randall Lineback spokeswoman, has a beautiful heifer calf... intoducing Dolly! Dolly is sired by Chapel Hill's Pewter. Both mother and daughter are doing great; Daisy is currently producing about 14-16 quarts of milk a day. Dolly may be going to a nearby resort's working farm display for the summer. She will be part of a program to educate visitors about the RL breed and its place in Vermont's agricultural history.
